Compounding

Markie Pharmacy is a compounding pharmacy which specializes in the preparation of a variety of personalized medications.

There are many reasons for having compounded medication such as customized prescriptions, needs of non-standard dosage strengths, patients who need to transform a pill into a liquid or transdermal creams, allergen free medication, drugs that have been discontinued, hormone replacement.

Homeopathy

Markie Pharmacy carries homeopathic medications as well as unique compounded formulas. Homeopathy has its roots in the experiments of Samuel Hahnemann in 1790, just after he graduated from Medical School. He discovered the “cure by the similar” which became a great success, and the first homeopathic Medical School was founded by his students at the end of the 19th century.

Since then, homeopathy has spread around the world, and we from Markie Pharmacy are proud of having been chosen the “Best Homeopathic Pharmacy" by Toronto Life Magazine.

Hormone Replacement

Markie Pharmacy works with natural hormones, called bio-identical because of their similarity with those created by the human body.

Bio-identical hormones are made from soybean and yam which makes them much safer and well tolerated by patients. Another benefit is that they are tailored according to each individual's needs.

The use of hormone replacement theraphy requires a medical prescription, based on detailed blood exams.

Mark Rosenhek B.Sc.Phm.

Rosenhek has been a pharmacist since 1977. He has appeared numerous times on Breakfast Television and been featured in several magazine articles.

Since opening Markie Pharmacy, he has pursued an interest in alternative medicine as well as continuing to practise allopathic medicine.
